Blanc is a desktop browser for macOS, Windows and Linux, built on Chromium. One floating Island holds your tabs, navigation and page controls, so the page stays in front, and ad and tracker blocking is built in.

Blanc Blocker stops ads and known trackers at the browser level, without asking you to start with an extension. It is on by default and also protects private tabs.

Blanc has no venture funding and no investors setting its product agenda or exit timetable. It is not funded by selling ads or turning browsing activity into an audience product. That keeps the incentives simple: make a browser people want to keep using.

Blanc’s own code is MIT-licensed and public on GitHub. Its name and logos, and the third-party components it includes, keep their own terms.

Public checks, with their limits stated.

Blanc publishes source, release checks, signed manifests, an SBOM, and compatibility evidence. No independent external security audit has been completed. Those records support specific claims; they are not an external certification or a blanket security guarantee.

Blanc has no general third-party extension runtime. Its optional 1Password bridge and device-bound Touch ID passkeys are macOS-only.

The browser is complete without a subscription.

Browsing essentials and ordinary tab groups are free. Blanc Patron is the optional subscription: US$30 per year or US$4 per month, plus applicable tax. It adds saved Named Workspaces. Creating a named workspace requires an active Patron subscription. If membership lapses, existing workspaces remain openable, switchable, and automatically updated. Renaming and removing existing workspaces continue to work if it lapses. Earlier one-time supporters keep their lifetime Patron access.

Made by Bananify, an independent software studio. AI assists implementation and security review; the maintainer remains accountable for product decisions and release approval. AI-assisted checks and maintainer review do not constitute an independent security audit.
