Name the task, then keep moving.
Use /group work to create or join a named group from the active tab. A group exists only while it has tabs in it.
Named tab groups: keep the tabs you need. Tuck away the rest.
Name a group for the task in front of you. Blanc keeps that group on the island and leaves the rest close, not constantly visible.
Groups have names, not colors.
Keep the active group close.
The resting island shows the active group's tabs. Group names and the rest of your groups live in the expanded panel, where you can choose what to return to.
Fold the rest without losing the thread.
Groups can tuck away in the panel, and the Quick Switcher finds them by name when it is time to return.
Group, jump, close, and bring it back.
Right-click any tab.
Choose Move to Group to start a new group, move the tab into one you already have, or remove it from its group.
Drag tabs and groups into order.
In the expanded Island or in vertical tabs, drag a tab to reorder it within its group, move it into another group, or take it out of its group. Drop a tab on a group’s header to add it, even when the group is folded. Drag a header to move the whole group; ⌘1 to ⌘9 on a Mac, or Ctrl+1 to Ctrl+9 on Windows and Linux, follow the new order.
Or move them from the keyboard.
Focus a tab or a group header and press Option+Shift+Up or Down on a Mac, or Alt+Shift+Up or Down on Windows and Linux. Folded groups are skipped, and pinned tabs stay pinned.
Jump straight to a group.
When you have groups, ⌘1 to ⌘9 on a Mac, or Ctrl+1 to Ctrl+9 on Windows and Linux, jump to each group in order.
Links join the group.
A link you open in a new tab from a grouped tab joins the same group. A new tab you start yourself opens outside any group.
Close a group, then bring it back.
Type /close-group to close every tab in the group, and reopen the whole group with ⌘⇧T on a Mac or Ctrl+Shift+T on Windows and Linux.
